How to Replace a Solar Absorber Plate
Measure damaged absorber plate and order a replacement.
- Remove glazing trims and carefully lift cover glass.
- Using a hacksaw, cut couplings and if necessary notch the collector frame.
- Pull the damaged absorber out.
- Install the new absorber plate, glass cover and glazing trim.
- Provide proper freeze protection.
